Blog Post: Take Two | Mars Curiosity

So. Water on Mars. Let’s talk. On September 28, 2015 NASA announced the discovery of liquid water on Mars. This has brought back up websites that were previously viewed as pointless and ridiculous such as mars-one.com. My friends and I were ecstatic! With remarks such as “I’m so done with this planet, get me out of here,” we failed to check sources and read further on the topic. Scientists at NASA were equally as excited as we were, but it turns out that life on Mars is even more unlikely due to this discovery. Yes the liquid found contains all of the scientific compounds to be classified as “water”, but what else is in it? Well, we don’t know. Despite the Mars, Curiosity’s curiosity, Curiosity is not sterile. Because of this, scientists have decided that we need to wait to explore the liquid water in order to not contaminate it as is.

I’m still researching the subject but as soon as I know more, you bet your curious butts I’ll blog about it.
Until next time, Astronauts.
